Frequently Asked Questions
This page is based on responses given to actual questions asked – the more questions you ask, the faster this section will be filled up!
- Are the courses are held in English?
All our courses / boot camps (Cisco training, Microsoft training, career programs) are in English only. The trainers speak good English and almost all our course participants so far have been either from Europe or USA.
- Do your prices include hotel accommodation and exams?
We offer you both options. You may avail of our course alone pricing which only includes the training (and exam preparation) or you may avail of our packages that include accommodation, exams fees and airport transfers. Our CCIE and career course packages do not include exam fees.
It makes more sense to avail of packages when you are coming for certification courses that last upto 2 months. If you are planning for a long stay in Thailand, you may choose to rent an apartment here. Bangkok has a lot of apartments available at all budget levels for those who wish to stay longer. We would gladly assist you in finding something suitable for you.
- Are rooms and meals added in the price?
If you opt for a package price, it would include hotel stay and breakfast (3 star and above, not budget hotel). Bangkok has so many options for international cuisine from so many countries and so many types of fast food chains conveniently located that it would be a pity if we were to offer you lunch / dinner and thereby tie you down to any one particular type of food.
- Do your offer accommodation in your own apartments for long staying students
We do offer accommodation in our own apartment and it can be a useful option to stay onsite (same building as the training) as you will be around the other students and trainers.
This option is very suitable for CCIE students. We do recommend our CCIE participants to stay in our own apartment (if availability permits) when you undertake CCIE training as this will enable to be around your CCIE trainer, other CCIE students.
Our apartment is located in the prime area of tourism in Bangkok and within walking distance from major malls, international restaurants & entertainment and nightlife venues in Bangkok. Our apartment stay costs cost $700 for 4 weeks (only available for minimum 4 weeks and in increments of 4 weeks thereafter) and includes:
- Stay (Private room to yourself in a large 3 bedroom apartment). Living area, kitchen shared with others who live in the same apartment.
- Electricity: Fair usage: We expect you to switch off your room air-conditioning and lights whenever you leave your room.
- Hi Speed Internet Access (Wireless)
- All rooms are large (generally larger than most hotel rooms), have windows and balconies.
- All apartments have washing machine, fully equipped kitchen which you are free to use.
- On a best effort basis (which means this is likely but not always guaranteed), we will try to additionally provide:
- Maid service: cleaning your room – 3 days / week, change of linen – once a week.
- Laundry: Free washing and ironing
- The building has a swimming pool that can be used at no extra cost.
Should you prefer staying at our apartment, you would need to pay course alone prices + cost of apartment stay (minimum 4 weeks and in increments of 4 weeks).
We give preference to CCIE candidates for apartment stay.
- Other Accommodation Options in Bangkok
Bangkok has plenty of options for world class accommodations at low prices. Some of our packages include hotel accommodation. Like any other city, costs would vary on area you choose to stay in (prime area is costliest, outskirts of the city cheapest), apartment size (studio is cheaper than 1 BDR), building amenities (swimming pool, health club, etc) and how well furnished the apartment is.
You can get budget studio apartments with air-conditioning & basic furniture in prime Bangkok for around $300 – 500 / month ($150-225 in outskirts).
1 minimum contract of about 6 months is normally required.
- How much should I budget for meals?
It depends on where and how much you eat! However, a rough guideline:
Thai meals at small Thai outlets – about $1-2 / meal.
International Fast Food: Mc Donalds, KFC, Subway, Pizza Hut, etc – about $3-5 / meal
Specialty cuisine in nice restaurants / fine dining – about $10 + per meal
- How much should I budget for local transport?
It depends on where you stay, how much you travel & whether you use public transport or taxis.
Buses are very cheap in Bangkok – air conditioned buses cost about US$0.5 / trip. The Sky train (BTS) and the underground train (MRT) are good value for money and usually cost between $0.5 – $1 per trip.
Taxis are cheap as well. We recommend a figure of about $50 – 100 / month.
- Do you prepare participants for the exam? When can one take the certification exams after the course? Do you offer passing guarantees?
There are only 2 ways training can be conducted. One is to teach you the curriculum and the technologies, the other is to only teach brain-dumps. Teaching you the curriculum very well is our approach as your training is an investment in your career ahead and understanding the well designed curriculum well is most important.
However, we do understand that passing exams and getting certified is important to most participants & we prepare you completely for the exams as well. Our trainers have a variety of exam simulation tools with them which they make available to the course participants and can also point you to several sample questions places.
If you have paid attention in the class, study the course material we provide and go through the exam preparation that our trainers give you, it is unlikely that you should have trouble with any online exams (those delivered online at Pearson VUE / Prometric centers)
You can take exams at your convenience. We have seen that few days of exam preparation is normally required (per module) after course completion and after reading course material provided to the participants. While our focus in the course is to teach you technologies related to the curriculum well, our trainers are always ready to work with you to help you prepare for your exams.
We do not offer refund of exam fees should you fail any online exam. Subject to availability of seats, we do offer free retake if you fail the online exam in spite of our training and exam preparation. This offer is valid if you take the exams within one month of course completion.
- Information related to students from the Middle-Eastern countries / Gulf region countries & Halal food for Muslim Students
Thailand is an extremely popular tourist destination for people from the Middle East & Gulf region including people from Arab countries of Saudi Arabia, UAE (Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm al-Quwain), Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Eqypt, Iran, Iraq, etc.
A large variety of Arab food (Halal) is easily available in Bangkok (within 5-10 minutes walk from our training facilities).
There are also mosques / masjids nearby for prayer (namaz).

- What is the pre-requisite for your CCIE training?
The minimum pre-requisite for our CCIE training is knowledge upto the CCNP level (CCNA level + CCNP level knowledge). The more you have studied, the more value you will get from the training. Having said that, it is also true that you will be able to study much better after our training as what appear as mere concepts in dull lifeless CCIE books without prior lab experience will come alive and become interesting and approachable after you have taken our training. We do recommend that if you have the time, please read Routing TCP/IP by Jeff Doyle before you come – but do note that this is not a pre-requisite.
- What is the registration process to join your courses?
You can either make a full payment or a deposit of US$1000 to join any course ($1500 for career courses and CCIE). This can be made by either bank transfer or Paypal. Whenever you are ready to make payment, you may request the relevant information (bank account / Paypal details) from us. We will consider the amount that reaches our account, which means bank and Paypal charges are to be borne by you.
- Do I need a VISA for coming to Thailand?
Stay under 30 days: Most of our students get a 30 day visa free entry into Thailand. Some don’t.
Stay upto 60 days: If your courses will take upto 60 days, the best way about this is to come on a tourist visa (you can get at the nearest Thai embassy). You would need to tell the embassy you are visiting for tourism purposes.
Stay upto 90 days. If your courses will take you upto 90 days, we can help you with a business visa invitation.
Beyond 90 days and upto 15 months: Please email us for options.
Please note that it may take 2-4 working days at most Thai embassies / consulates to process your visa. Should you need one, please check with them directly about time required for processing the same.
